Of The Scriptures We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, was written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost; that it has God for its Author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter; that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us, and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creed and opinions should be tried. We believe in the doctrine of Inspiration, that the very words were ‘God Breathed’; and the doctrine of Preservation; that God has promised to preserve His word through time and translation; that in the Authorized King James Version of the Bible we hold the very Word of God. Ps 12:6, 7; Mt 5:18; 24:35; Jn 17:17; II Tim 3:16, 17; II Pet 1:21; Rev 22:18
Of The True God We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent, eternal Spirit whose name is JEHOVAH, the Creator, Saviour, and Judge of Heaven and Earth; that He is glorious in His Holiness and worthy of all possible Honor, confidence, and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost - equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. Gen 1:2; Ex. 3:14; 15:11; Ps. 83:18; 90:2; Isa. 44:6; Jer. 10:10; Mk. 12:32; Eph. 4:6; I Tim. 1:17
Of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Godhead; that He was born of the Virgin Mary making Him both God and Man; that he lived a sinless life, became our Kinsman Redeemer, and fulfilled the prophetic place of the Lamb of God; that through His death the gap was bridged between sinful man and a Holy God; that three days after He was crucified, He walked out of the tomb bodily, and conquered death for every man; that he ever liveth, to make intercession for our souls, and that He is the one and only Saviour of Man. Jn 1:14,29; Rom 16:27; I Cor 15:1-4; I Tim 1:17; Heb 1:3; I Jn 5:7.
Of The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead; that the work of the Holy Spirit is to reprove the world of Sin, or Righteousness, and of Judgment; that the Holy Spirit brings conviction to the lost; that He leads the redeemed into all truth; that he empowers and comforts those that serve the Lord, and will convict them of sin; that His work differs entirely from the sprit that is in the Charismatic movement. Ps 139:7; Isa 6:3; Neh 9:20; Jn 14:27; 15:26; Heb 9:14; Rom 15:19; I Cor 2:11; II Cor 13:14; I Jn 5:7
Of The Fall of Man We believe that man was created holy and in innocence but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state, in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but choice, being by nature utterly void of that holiness required by the law of God, positively inclined to sin, and therefore under just condemnation to eternal ruin without defense or excuse. Genesis 1:27, 31, 3:6-24, Isaiah 53:6, Ezekiel 18:19, Romans 1:20, 5:19
Of The Way of Salvation We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ upon the cross; that the Law was fulfilled in Christ Jesus by His personal obedience to it; that His death made a full atonement for our sins; that, having risen from the dead on the third day He conquered death for every man; that He is in every way qualified to be a suitable, compassionate and an all-sufficient Saviour; that salvation is by faith in the shed blood of Christ and the finished work of Calvary. Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Philippians 2:16, Hebrews 7:25, 2:18, Colossians 2:9, Isaiah 53:4-5
Of the Freeness of Salvation We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel; that neither the “Calvinist” nor the “Armenian” positions are right; that true conviction brings about repentance and faith; and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the Gospel. Isaiah 55:1, Romans 16:25-26, John 5:40, John 3:19
Of Eternal Security We believe that salvation results in a new creature that is born again as a child of God in the family of God; that the salvation of the soul is permanent and immutable; that a believer will never lose his place as a child of God; that the born again believer is eternally secure as a result of God’s work on his behalf at salvation; that we as believers are sealed by His Spirit and that nothing can separate us from that position. Ephesians 1:5-7, 13, 14, Romans 8:35-38, John 10:28-30, John 3:16, I John 5:13, I Cor 5:17.
Of a Gospel Church We believe that the Local Church was started by Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry; that it is the sole agent established by God to carry out the commission described in Matthew 28:18: that it is always and only Local and Visible; that it consists of a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in His Word; that its only scriptural officers are bishops or pastors and deacons, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are defined in the Epistles to Timothy and Titus. Matthew 16:18, 18:17, 28:20, I Corinthians 1:1-13, 11:2, Acts 2:41-42, I Timothy 3, Titus 1.
Of Baptism
We believe that Baptism by emersion in water is an ordinances of the church; that only a sinner saved by repentance and faith in the gospel is a candidate; that baptism is the public declaration of a individual’s salvation experience and in no way saves the soul: that it portrays the gospel, and is required for membership in that local assembly; that it must be administered by a properly authorized New Testament Church; that it functions as a guard to the church by keeping out false doctrine and discerning the heart of the candidate. Mt 3:2, 5-9; 28:18-20; Jn 3:23; Acts2:41; 8:12,36-38; Rom 6:3-5; Gal 3:27; Eph 4:5; I Pet 3:21
Of The Lords Supper
We believe the Lord's Supper is the second ordinance of the local church; that it is a memorial service to bring to remembrance the suffering of Christ on the Cross; that it is for members of that local church only; that the Bread and Wine are symbols of the body and blood of Christ; that the only acceptable items for this service are unleavened bread and unfermented grape juice. Proverbs 20:1; 23:29-35; I Corinthians 11:24-30; Matthew 26:26-29
Of Separation
We believe in the Biblical teaching of both moral and ecclesiastical separation; that Christians are called to live a life of separation and holiness; that the church body is to maintain Ecclesiastical separation from false religion, worldliness, and pseudo-church organizations; that the individual members of that body are to maintain separation from immoral conduct, worldliness, or any other activity that would bring shame to the church of which they are a member. Ezek 22:26; II Cor 6:17, 18; I Pet 1:15,16; 2:9-12, I Thess 5:22
Of Future Events
We believe in the pre-tribulation return of Jesus Christ, and that we are at doorstep of that event; that when Christ comes He will call out all of the saints, at which time we will be judged for our service; that this event will usher in the Great Tribulation, which will last seven years, 3 ½ years of peace and 3 ½ of wrath; that at the end of this period Christ will return with His saints to the battle of Armageddon where He will destroy the wicked and set up a thousand years reign on earth; that at the end of this reign Satan will gather an army and Christ will destroy it and purge the earth once and for all; that the lost will be sentenced to eternity in the lake of fire; that the New City Jerusalem will descend where the born again believers will live with Him forevermore.
Of Eternal Damnation
We believe that all those who reject the one and only payment for their sin that was made by Jesus Christ on the cross are condemned by the perfect Law of God; that every lost soul that has died is currently in the place the scriptures call Hell; that at the end of the Millennial Kingdom God will call them up to their sentencing and cast them into a lake of fire to face the judgment of God for eternity. II Thessalonians 1:8, Revelation 21:11-15, John 3:18.
